Coloring Outside the Lines

Fearing what is there
I hit the wall and fall
back
back against my fear
that moving forward
will get me
nowhere
but right here
lying in my fear
of colouring in my life.

Fearing I will never
find my way
I find myself
falling
falling into my fear
that there is nothing
on the other side
of the wall
but darkness
and my fear of falling.

Breathing
I stand up
and take another step
fearlessly
fearlessly moving
through the wall
I have created
to keep me safe
from my fear
that I will find myself
colouring
outside the lines.

Living At The Speed Of Life

Living
at the speed of life
the broken down
pieces
fall
into the whole
puzzle
becoming clear
of what I’ve missed
passing by
without stopping
to check
the cracks
appearing
larger
than life
when I stood
back
waiting
for life
to appear
as one
big
answer
to the question
Why am I here?

I am here
to dance
and laugh
and live
and love
between the cracks
appearing
in the light
of living at the speed of life.

Stretched

skin
stretched thin
blue veined hands
spiny fingers
crooked
she held
his hand
tenderly
in the night
and waited
for his last breath
to draw
in the air
around her

love
stretched wide
two hearts
finding
eachother
she remembered
his breath
warm against
her skin
drawing
out
the night

time
stretched out
upon a calendar
of years
spent
finding their way
together
to this moment
where his breath
drew in
and ended
all time.

Living in the ends of time
unravelling
backwards
I fall into remembering

you
were so forgettable

I no longer remember
your parting
touch
drifting into a farewell
I have long forgotten

how we met
then said good-bye

did you walk away
or did I turn my back
for just a moment too long

mistaking
the ring
of bells tolling

binding me
in a knot
that could not keep
the matrimonial vows
from coming

undone
I bid you
stay

you bid me
adieu

and walked
away
into a dusty sunset

while I stood facing
the dusty
rose of sunrise
splitting
the back of night.

Living in the ends
of time
unravelling
the knots
that keep me looking
back
I turn towards the sun
letting go
of gravity
pulling me under
the waters
of time
unravelling.

Don’t go
don’t leave me in this place
of not knowing
where to go.

Stop!
Don’t leave
me here in this position
of not being
where I want to be.

Help!
I need you
to show me the way
to get to where
I’m going.

Come!
I’ve found
the way out of the dark
in the light
of being here.

for you
to step
across the threshold
of my heart
beat
pounding
with anticipation
of your
caress

I thought
you didn’t
see
me.

I see
now
you were always
listening
to my heart
beat
calling.

I see
you now
inviting
me
to enter
the portal
of your Love.

In All The Pieces

When all the king’s horses
and all the king’s men
couldn’t put
Humpty together again
was all hope lost
that he would never find
the beauty
lying
in all the pieces
broken
on the ground?

In the broken places
beauty
rises up
and says
life happens
in the cracks
where the light
shines
in all the pieces
lying
broken
on the ground.

soaring
into the unknown
beyond where I am
limited
by the capacity
of me?
