Time Unravelling

Living in the ends of time
unravelling
backwards
I fall into remembering
you
were so forgettable
I no longer remember
your parting
touch
drifting into a farewell
I have long forgotten
how we met
then said good-bye
did you walk away
or did I turn my back
for just a moment too long
mistaking
the ring
of bells tolling
binding me
in a knot
that could not keep
the matrimonial vows
from coming
undone
I bid you
stay
you bid me
adieu
and walked
away
into a dusty sunset
while I stood facing
the dusty
rose of sunrise
splitting
the back of night.
Living in the ends
of time
unravelling
the knots
that keep me looking
back
I turn towards the sun
letting go
of gravity
pulling me under
the waters
of time
unravelling.
