The Truth Of Everything

Leaning into the edge
what I know
slips into the unknown
opening up
within the grace
of life
calling me
to let go
and explore
the truth
of everything
I don’t know.

letting go
I fall
and find myself
expanding
beyond everything
I know.

The Memory of Sight

The memory of sight
heard the whisper of a thousand voices
calling
Awaken!
Awaken!
and in the silence of a thousand hearts
beating
in time
she opened the eyes of her heart
and took flight upon a thousand wings
beating
in time
to the wonder
of her wings unfolding.

Holding on to letting go

09 Saturday Feb 2013

I forget
where breath begins
and hold onto nothing
but my last breath
fearing there will never be
another to fill
the void.

Letting go
life rushes in and fills
the space
with nothing
more than
my last breath
moving into
the next.

In the ebb
of life’s
constant flow
holding on
fills the void
and I become
each breath
letting go.

I sleep awakened

I sleep
and my heart stays awake
to the pounding
of the surf
calling fairy dancers
to cast
their nets of dreams
rising
up
into the night.

Dreaming myself awake

08 Friday Feb 2013

In the sweet silver music
of the night
I slip into the velvet blanket
of a star lit sky
and cast my dreams
upon Indra’s net.

Caught in a moon beam
shimmering
with the glow of a thousand stars
dancing in the light
of the moon
rising
up
I dream
myself
awake.

Awake Now

07 Thursday Feb 2013

Searching
for just the right words
to understand
what was then
I hear your voice
drowning out
the light.

in the darkness
light recedes
into the depths
of memory calling me
to stop
breathing
and fall
asleep

Slowly I succumb
to the ebb and flow of the waves
lulling me to let go
of breathing
and fall
asleep beneath the fear
of yesterday
weighing me down.

Gasping for air
I kick out
desperately clawing for
the light
I swim upwards
away from the murky waters
of not seeing
the light of today

is brightest
where the sky
falls down
to touch the sea
flowing freely
away from memory
falling
deeply
to sleep.

Awake now,
all I need
to understand
life’s calling
is to know,
I am Here.

Writing in the rain

06 Wednesday Feb 2013

I wrote in poetry today
words pouring down
from the sky
scattered across the page
like raindrops on hot cement
that sizzled and popped
in glorious disarray
hitting the ground
and bouncing up
again and again
collecting into puddles
where thoughts
glistened in limitless possibility
of what could be
if I just tilted the page
this way, then that
gathering words
along the invisible lines
of destiny waiting
to be seeded into orderly rows
of freshly formed thoughts
that grow
with each moment
becoming visible
in the passing
of time dancing
a joyous refrain
of Love in the poetry
of my life
pouring down.

when the bell rings

when the bell rings

Waiting for the bell
to ring, for him
no man knows
when, it will
call, without
warning, that time,
has run,
out of waiting
for the bell,
to ring.

In between
each ring, life
ripples out, in waves
of love and joy
sorrow and laughter
appealing, to time, to give
him another moment
to live not
knowing, when,
the bell rings
he will,
answer.
